Role Overview
As an Investment Analyst within our Direct Investments team, you will engage in the entire investment cycle for equity and debt investments targeting companies involved in the energy access and climate sectors, particularly in Sub-Saharan Africa and India. You will work closely within a transaction team, focusing on identifying, evaluating, processing, and monitoring investments. Your role will also include supporting internal decision-making and client relationship management while handling operational tasks.
Main Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough investment analysis and financial modeling.
- Identify and evaluate investment opportunities in energy and climate sectors.
- Support internal processes and client interactions.
- Travel frequently to engage with investees and stakeholders in SSA.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; Master's preferred.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in private equity, venture capital, or consulting.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital tools, excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of Africa's economic and social development challenges.
