Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of JobsOnline Africa (the “Platform”), operated by JobsOnline Africa and its affiliates (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

1. Description of service

JobsOnline Africa is a job board that connects job seekers with employers. We provide a platform for posting and browsing job listings. We do not employ job seekers or guarantee employment. Application and hiring decisions are made solely by employers.

2. Account and eligibility

To post jobs or use certain features, you may need to create an account. You must:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Be at least 18 years of age or the age of majority in your jurisdiction
  • Comply with all applicable laws

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity under it.

3. User conduct

You agree not to:

  • Post false, misleading, or fraudulent job listings
  • Use the Platform for spam, harassment, or illegal activity
  • Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools without our permission
  • Circumvent any security or access controls

We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Job listings and employer responsibilities

Employers are solely responsible for the accuracy of job listings, application processes, and hiring decisions. We do not verify the legitimacy of every employer or job. Job seekers should exercise caution and conduct their own due diligence. We are not liable for disputes between users.

5. Fees and payments

Some services may require payment. Fees, billing cycles, and refund policies are described on our Pricing page and in your plan details. Prices may change with notice. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to the applicable fees and billing terms.

6. Intellectual property

The Platform, including its design, branding, and content (except user-generated content), is owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works without our written permission.

7. Limitation of liability

The Platform is provided “as is.” We do not warrant uninterrupted, error-free, or secure operation. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost profits or data. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and update the “last updated” date. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which JobsOnline Africa operates. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
