Overview: M-KOPA is on the lookout for a Head of Marketing to lead our evolution from a device-financing company into a holistic consumer fintech platform across five African nations. This pivotal position will shape the interactions of over 7 million customers with M-KOPA, which has already disbursed more than $2 billion in credit to underserved populations.
Main Responsibilities:
- Create and execute a purpose-driven marketing strategy aimed at promoting financial inclusion through innovative offerings.
- Manage brand strategy, oversee marketing campaigns, and cultivate marketing talent across Kenya, Nigeria, Uganda, Ghana, and South Africa.
- Work alongside local teams to ensure marketing strategies are culturally relevant while upholding global brand standards.
- Utilize market research and consumer insights to inform impactful marketing initiatives and investment strategies.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 10 years in marketing, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership position.
- Demonstrated experience in brand strategy within the high-growth fintech or consumer services domains.
- Proficient in managing budgets and performance metrics across multiple markets.
- Strong leadership abilities with an emphasis on team development and collaboration.
