Role Overview: The Africa Coordinator will play a crucial role in nurturing and expanding WINGS' network in Africa, aligning with our strategic priorities for 2023-2027. This position focuses on engaging with regional members, raising the profile of African philanthropy, and promoting collaboration within the sector.
Main Responsibilities:
- Act as a primary contact for regional members, facilitating their involvement in WINGS’ initiatives.
- Coordinate the Africa Working Group to foster regional dialogue and collaboration.
- Develop and execute events and partnerships to enhance philanthropy support ecosystems.
- Identify capacity-building needs and strategize on sustainability and collaboration efforts.
- Manage project plans, track progress, and ensure timely delivery within budget constraints.
- Conduct research and produce reports to highlight regional trends and best practices.
- Represent WINGS at regional events and engage with stakeholders to strengthen community representation.
Requirements:
- Located in Africa with fluency in English and French; additional languages preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in project or network coordination, preferably in philanthropy.
- Strong fundraising and proposal writing skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Relevant Bachelor’s degree; Master’s preferred.
- Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time.
