Role Overview

Main Responsibilities
- Strategy Development: Create and implement a comprehensive growth strategy for East Africa, targeting Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, and Rwanda.
- P&L Ownership: Manage regional revenue objectives, monitor profit margins, and maintain cost efficiency.
- Partnership Development: Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders in the mobile money and banking landscape.
- Regulatory Engagement: Interact proactively with local regulatory bodies to ensure compliance.
- Operational Governance: Oversee quality onboarding processes, performance metrics, and issue resolution.
- Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing local commercial team.
- Market Intelligence: Stay informed about political, liquidity, and currency risk trends.
Requirements
Applicants should have at least 8 years in senior roles within fintech or financial services, with a strong grasp of East African mobile money systems and experience in P&L management. Familiarity with cross-border trade and engagement with regulatory authorities is essential.
