Role Overview:
The Senior Applied AI Engineer will play a vital role in advancing Turaco's AI initiatives, creating intelligent systems that enhance our operations and benefit customers and partners. This position is part of our "Service Center" team, collaborating with various departments to identify and implement impactful AI solutions.
Main Responsibilities:
- Design and implement AI/ML solutions for operational and customer challenges.
- Translate business needs into AI project plans with clear metrics and timelines.
- Oversee the complete ML lifecycle, from data exploration to model deployment.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines to support scalable model training.
- Lead and mentor engineering teams through collaborative practices.
- Integrate AI capabilities into workflows and products.
- Monitor deployed models for performance and bias, implementing necessary adjustments.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of software experience, including 3+ years in applied AI/ML.
- Proficient in Java, Python, Go, or JavaScript, with experience in ML frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs and generative AI techniques.
- Solid foundation in classical machine learning.
- Familiarity with data infrastructure and MLOps practices.
- Strong communication skills and a Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
