Role Overview:
The Browser AI team at Brave is seeking a Senior C++ Web Engineer to enhance core browser functionalities and explore innovative ways to integrate AI into user experiences. This role involves collaborating with other engineers and designers to create seamless UI features that enrich AI interactions within the browser.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement browser-integrated web UI features using Typescript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, with React and other frameworks.
- Collaborate with the product development team to translate designs and specifications into functional elements on both desktop and mobile browsers.
- Integrate with custom browser APIs utilizing Chromium’s communication frameworks.
- Customize Chromium’s native UI to enhance existing features and add new ones.
- Deliver thoroughly tested, high-quality code while assisting in peer reviews and improving engineering practices.
Requirements:
Applicants should possess strong web app development skills, proficiency in a JavaScript UI framework (React, Svelte, or Vue), CSS expertise, and familiarity with C++ or Chromium. Understanding performance optimization and UI accessibility is also critical.
