Senior Manager of AI

Role Overview: We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Manager of AI to lead our new AI team of approximately five engineers within a larger software engineering group of 30. Your primary focus will be on overseeing AI and data engineering projects aimed at enhancing client services and internal processes, including agentic AI development and orbital event detection.

Main Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of AI/ML Engineers, Data Engineers, and Software Engineers.
• Ensure the performance and reliability of AI/ML algorithms and data lake.
• Collaborate with other teams for resource allocation and project execution.

Requirements:

• Eligibility for U.S. personnel security clearance.
• M.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in software or AI management.
• Proficiency in cloud-based software services and distributed data platforms.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Familiarity with databases like Postgres/MySQL.
