Role Overview: We are seeking a Staff Engineer to join our security and privacy team. Your main objective will be to ensure user safety across Brave’s platforms, including the Brave browser and Brave Search.
Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct security and privacy assessments of Brave’s browser and search engine.
- Manage and resolve security issues reported by users.
- Collaborate with various teams to create privacy-focused protocols.
- Design and deploy new security and privacy enhancements.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years in security or privacy engineering.
- Experience with penetration testing and security auditing.
- Strong C++ skills for both implementation and review.
- Familiarity with the Web security model and data protection principles.
- Proficient in async communication with a distributed team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with open-source contributions.
- Knowledge of Web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), and proficiency in Go and Rust.
- Understanding of Chromium's security architecture.
