We are currently seeking a Clinical/Health Informatics Consultant to evaluate and enhance clinical data capture and workflows within HeliumOS. The successful candidate will collaborate with various teams to analyze existing clinical forms and data-entry processes, offering insights for platform optimization.
Main Responsibilities:
- Examine clinical forms, data fields, and workflows within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Evaluate data capture throughout critical stages of the patient journey.
- Identify opportunities for enhancing the structure and standardization of clinical data.
- Assess the use of structured fields versus free-text documentation and suggest improvements.
- Advise on appropriate clinical terminology, classifications, and coding standards.
- Ensure recommendations align with practical clinical workflows to minimize documentation burden.
- Collaborate with clinical, Product, Data, Public Health, and Engineering teams to validate recommendations.
Requirements:
- Medical degree (MBBS/MD or equivalent) or relevant clinical qualification.
- At least 3 years of experience with EMR/EHR systems or clinical informatics.
- Strong understanding of clinical documentation and health data workflows.
- Familiarity with clinical terminology and coding standards like ICD-10 or SNOMED CT.
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
- Experience in African healthcare settings is preferred.
