We are currently seeking a dedicated individual for a remote role based on the East Coast of the US, with a hybrid option for NYC candidates.

Role Overview

As we prepare for our first external financial audit for the fiscal years ending January 2026 and January 2027, you will take charge of this crucial process. You will oversee the accounting operations for our multi-entity, multi-currency business, which includes unique revenue streams. You will report to the VP of Finance and manage one direct report while collaborating with external partners.

Main Responsibilities

• Lead the audit readiness assessment and manage the relationship with auditors.
• Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closes, ensuring GAAP compliance.
• Develop technical accounting memos and establish documentation for revenue recognition.
• Create and implement controls over key financial processes.
• Drive automation initiatives within accounting operations.

Requirements

• Experience as a Controller or similar role in a venture-backed company.
• Proven track record of leading external audits.
• Hands-on knowledge of ASC 606 and month-end close processes across multiple entities.
• Ability to operate at a detailed level and manage accounting functions effectively.
