Role Overview
Join Thndr as you take the lead on managing statutory audits, regulatory reporting, and financial filings across our group entities. Your primary focus will be ensuring timely and accurate submissions while resolving any audit or regulatory inquiries. Collaborating closely with the Accounting, Control & Tax Manager, you will oversee the auditing process by coordinating auditors, preparing statutory accounts, and tracking regulatory deadlines. This position also involves building robust reporting processes as Thndr expands into new markets.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage statutory audits, ensuring all timelines and communication with auditors are effectively handled.
- Prepare financial statements in compliance with IFRS and local standards for review.
- Maintain comprehensive working paper packs for each entity, ready for audit.
- Create and manage a regulatory reporting tracker across all entities.
- Prepare and submit regulatory returns and financial filings, addressing any queries from regulators.
- Ensure reconciliations between management ledgers and statutory accounts are accurately maintained.
- Identify and resolve recurring issues impacting audit quality and reporting accuracy.
- Develop and enhance reporting processes and documentation standards.
Requirements
Applicants should have 3-5 years of experience in audit or financial reporting, with a solid understanding of accounting standards (IFRS). A proactive approach to problem-solving and a builder mentality are essential. Experience with Egyptian Accounting Standards, as well as knowledge in financial services or regulated environments, is a plus.
