Position: Finance Manager – Group Reporting

M-KOPA, a leading fintech in Africa, is seeking a Finance Manager for Group Reporting as it rapidly expands its customer base from 5 million to 7 million and aims for 10 million. This role is crucial for managing financial reporting across a diverse portfolio of group companies and requires a proactive approach to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
Main Responsibilities:
- Oversee financial reporting for multiple group entities, ensuring monthly closures, compliance with IFRS standards, and insightful management commentary.
- Contribute to group consolidation involving various currencies, maintaining audit-ready financials.
- Lead the year-end audit process for assigned entities, including planning and managing auditor relations.
Requirements:
- Chartered Accountant qualification (CA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) with substantial post-qualification experience in a top-tier firm or as a financial reporting expert.
- Hands-on experience with IFRS financial statements and group consolidations across multiple entities.
- Proven ability to manage audits independently.
This role offers the opportunity to engage with a dynamic team, rotating across various entities and projects instead of being confined to a single area. The work is location-flexible, with options for remote or market-based engagement.
