Position Summary: The role bridges Finance and the Product & Technology teams, ensuring that every new product, feature, or pricing adjustment meets accounting and control standards prior to launch. You will oversee the entire journey from customer interaction to financial reporting, ensuring accurate mapping to the chart of accounts and reflection in the Group's financial statements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary technical accounting advisor for new products, features, and pricing modifications.
  • Draft technical accounting memos regarding new or revised products, focusing on IFRS standards.
  • Establish and maintain an organized chart of accounts for all products.
  • Map the customer journey stages to the appropriate general ledger treatments.
  • Review product specifications before launch to identify potential accounting and control issues.
  • Ensure reconciliation between product data and the general ledger, addressing discrepancies at their source.
  • Create control processes for new product transactions, ensuring documentation meets audit standards.
  • Collaborate with Financial Control, Internal Audit, and external auditors on accounting inquiries related to products.

Candidate Requirements:

  • ACA/ACCA (or equivalent) with 8+ years of relevant experience, including a Big 4 background.
  • Proficient in IFRS 15 and IFRS 9, with a strong grasp of broader IFRS standards.
  • Experience in translating product designs into accounting frameworks.
  • Comfortable engaging directly with engineers and product managers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in fintech, payments, or banking.
  • Experience with chart of accounts design for multi-product platforms.
  • Familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements.
