Job Overview: Canonical, a leader in the realm of open-source software, is on the lookout for a Cloud Solutions Architect to enhance our Alliances team. This remote role involves collaboration with prominent global partners such as Intel, Nvidia, Google, and Dell, guiding them in utilizing our Ubuntu platform to meet their requirements and those of their clientele.
Main Responsibilities:
- Apply knowledge of Ubuntu, Linux, networking, and services in real-world applications.
- Design cloud infrastructure solutions utilizing technologies like Kubernetes, OpenStack, and Ceph in both on-premises and public cloud settings.
- Incorporate open-source software, including PostgreSQL and MongoDB, into partner solutions.
- Develop collaborative Reference Architectures and conduct technical validations with partners.
- Lead onboarding sessions and workshops to advocate for Canonical's offerings.
Requirements:
- Strong proficiency in Linux (preferably Ubuntu), Kubernetes, and cloud technologies.
- Experience in crafting solutions for both public and private cloud platforms.
- Knowledge of Python and bash, coupled with effective troubleshooting skills.
- Fluency in English with outstanding communication and presentation capabilities.
- A degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% internationally.
