Since our launch in November 2020, we have developed an innovative financial super app in Côte d'Ivoire, providing a holistic range of services such as payments, peer-to-peer transactions, fund transfers, and tools for savings and budgeting. We aim to transform the financial landscape in Francophone Africa, where traditional banking access is limited to under 25% of the population. Our rapid growth reflects our commitment to enhancing financial solutions in the region, backed by major investors like Y Combinator and Partech.

About the Role

We seek a Tech Lead to join our team, reporting to the Head of Engineering. In this role, you will guide a group of engineers, making critical architectural choices, mentoring team members, and overseeing system modifications. You will also be instrumental in designing and scaling backend systems that support essential financial services across Francophone Africa.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Lead a cross-functional team, focusing on product delivery and technical guidance.
• Conduct regular 1:1 meetings, provide feedback, and facilitate career growth discussions.
• Break down projects, manage dependencies, and ensure timely delivery.
• Architect and maintain efficient backend systems.
• Participate in code reviews, write and review code, and lead by example in design quality.

Your Profile

• 7+ years in software engineering, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Proficient in Typescript, Node.js, or similar backend languages.
• Experience with cloud platforms and modern software practices.
• Strong communication skills in English; French is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and advocate for user needs.
