Opportunity: As part of the VENN department, the Data Engineer will play a vital role in developing our data infrastructure, which is currently undergoing significant expansion. You will collaborate with a senior-led team to design foundational architecture and data pipelines that will enhance our ability to measure impact and deploy AI solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop batch and streaming data pipelines using platforms like SurveyCTO and ArcGIS, applying ELT/ETL workflows in PySpark and Databricks SQL.
- Maintain Delta Lake structures with schema enforcement and time travel capabilities, contributing to data modeling decisions.
- Implement data quality checks and monitoring tools to ensure pipeline health and data integrity.
- Integrate structured data with machine learning outputs to assist Data Scientists in their analyses.
- Create thorough documentation of data architectures and processes for team continuity.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and experience with ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Familiarity with Databricks and Delta Lake is a plus.
