Role Overview
As a Staff Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing our core transaction platform, ensuring it functions flawlessly across various institutions with differing systems and regulations. You will contribute to its design and implementation using Go, and mentor fellow engineers to achieve excellence.

Main Responsibilities

• Design and develop key components of the transaction platform.
• Ensure system reliability and compliance under varying failure conditions.
• Optimize the platform for scalability and maintain database performance.
• Create design documentation and conduct thorough code reviews.
• Collaborate with product and compliance teams to translate requirements into software solutions.
• Take ownership of production deployments, including performance monitoring and incident management.
• Participate in on-call rotations and provide mentorship to peers.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in designing distributed systems with a focus on correctness.
• Proficiency in Go or a willingness to adopt it quickly.
• In-depth knowledge of PostgreSQL and cloud services (AWS/GCP).
• Experience utilizing AI in engineering processes.
• 8+ years in backend system development with staff-level expertise.
• Strong writing skills for remote communication.
• Understanding of security principles for sensitive data.
