Position: Head of Engineering, Rewards
We are seeking a Head of Engineering for our Rewards platform in South Africa, which plays a crucial role in our user retention strategy for approximately 23 million customers. This role is fully remote and offers the opportunity to build a rewards system from the ground up, enhancing our cashback product into a comprehensive engagement and personalization platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the technical strategy and architecture for the Rewards platform.
- Enhance the performance and reliability of the existing cashback product.
- Develop the engineering team and structure it into product units.
- Foster a culture of experimentation and data-driven decision-making.
- Collaborate with Growth, Sales, and Marketing to align product initiatives with business goals.
- Oversee customer-facing experiences across both web and mobile platforms.
Qualifications:
Applicants should possess over 10 years of software engineering experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role. A strong background in direct-to-consumer product engineering, particularly in front-end and mobile technologies, is essential. Experience with A/B testing, growth engineering, and familiarity with Java and Spring Boot is advantageous.
