Product Engineer, Internal Tools

Role Overview: We are seeking a software engineer to enhance our operations by developing internal tools that streamline our processes. You will focus on creating productivity software for YC employees, including Group Partners and finance teams, to support thousands of startups effectively.

Main Responsibilities:

• Design and implement new features aimed at supporting founders post-batch, such as event management and engagement tools.
• Collaborate with YC Partners to develop software solutions, including Gmail plugins and dashboards for efficient communication with founders.
• Determine and prioritize the development roadmap, balancing effort and impact.
• Analyze user engagement to identify areas for improvement and drive long-term enhancements.

Team Information: Our software team consists of 15 full-stack engineers with diverse backgrounds. We value collaboration, fast shipping, and regular customer interactions. Our tech stack includes Rails, React, and Postgres. A passion for front-end development is essential for success in this role.

Location: This position is located at our Dogpatch campus in San Francisco, requiring you to be onsite with the team and our users. Relocation support is available for candidates moving to the area.

Compensation: Base salary ranges from $250K to $500K, complemented by a profit-sharing program. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401(k) matching, and flexible paid time off.
