Role Overview: We are seeking a Detection & Response Engineer to take ownership of the detection processes. This position involves a global team with a follow-the-sun pager system to support incident management without disrupting local time zones.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Measure detection effectiveness using metrics like MITRE ATT&CK coverage and time-to-detect.
  • Lead incident response efforts, including triage, containment, and remediation, while documenting lessons learned.
  • Collaborate with product and infrastructure teams to establish telemetry requirements pre-launch.
  • Conduct proactive threat hunting to identify new detection opportunities.

Requirements:

  • 5-8 years of experience in detection engineering, incident response, or threat hunting.
  • Proficient in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Go) and familiarity with modern SIEM tools.
  • Practical experience in managing real security incidents.
