Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to enhance the reliability of our expansive platform. This role requires a solid understanding of distributed systems combined with coding expertise to establish Service Level Objectives (SLOs), manage incident responses, and implement automation and self-healing solutions. You will focus on maintaining operational stability while ensuring our services can scale effectively amidst rapid growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead incident response as the Incident Commander during critical incidents, coordinating teams and providing updates.
• Instrument code to track high-cardinality metrics and distributed traces.
• Collaborate with product owners to define and defend SLOs and Error Budgets.
• Develop high-quality, production-ready code in Java, Go, or Python for automation and internal tools.
• Work with Product Engineering to ensure new services are designed for reliability and scalability.
• Analyze system performance and conduct load testing to ensure resilience.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in SRE or Backend Engineering with a strong coding background.
• Deep knowledge of distributed systems and microservices.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform or similar cloud services and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with observability tools and production data stores.
