Position Summary: We are seeking a Senior/Staff/Lead Engineer to join our Launchpad team, which focuses on facilitating open-source project management. This role involves enhancing a Python-based system that supports significant projects like Ubuntu.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead design, architecture, and feature decisions for high-impact solutions across distributed teams.
- Develop API-first Python code with thorough unit testing to create robust systems.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement high-quality enhancements.
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews to promote best practices.
- Engage in international travel for team collaboration and industry events.
Requirements:
- Demonstrable expertise in Python development and large-scale web applications.
- Experience with PostgreSQL and knowledge of distributed infrastructure.

- Familiarity with Ubuntu and software packaging systems.
