About the role
Position Overview: We are seeking a talented AI Engineer to design, develop, and implement AI-driven features within Sana Commerce. This role involves creating intelligent agents that operate on real commerce data including catalog, pricing, inventory, and orders.
Main Responsibilities:
- Utilize modern LLM frameworks and toolsets (such as Lang*, AWS Bedrock, and MS Foundry) to develop RAG systems and AI agents.
- Collaborate within a cross-functional team of Engineering, Product, and Design to integrate AI into our distributed product.
- Implement robust AI engineering principles from initial design through deployment and ongoing enhancement.
- Establish evaluation and feedback mechanisms to ensure quality releases through curated datasets and performance metrics.
- Design systems with failure recovery in mind, ensuring reliability and user satisfaction.
- Contribute to LLMOps and AI observability efforts to enhance reliability and monitoring processes.
- Stay informed on new AI tools and frameworks to help guide the strategic direction of Sana Commerce.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in web application development and a proven track record in building and deploying AI applications.
- Strong background in software engineering principles, including knowledge of design patterns and CI/CD practices.
- Experience with LLMs, RAG pipelines, and the ability to discern when to utilize retrieval approaches.
- Familiarity with LLMOps methodologies and performance evaluation.
- Understanding of cost and latency considerations in cloud technologies.
