Job Overview

We are currently seeking talented engineers to join our Ubuntu Engineering team, focusing on software quality, performance, and resilience.

Main Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deliver new foundational software and applications using Rust, Go, Flutter, and Python.
  • Integrate and package open source software into Ubuntu repositories.
  • Debug system-level issues and create robust solutions.
  • Enhance technical and community documentation.
  • Collaborate with a globally distributed team and mentor colleagues.
  • Contribute to upstream open source projects.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2 to 4 years of software engineering experience.
  • Strong skills in Rust, Go, Python, Flutter, or C/C++.
  • Excellent English communication skills and interpersonal abilities.
  • Willingness to travel for company events twice a year.
