Position Title: Senior Technical Advisor – HIV Care and Treatment
Location: Dar es Salaam
Role Overview: The Senior Technical Advisor for HIV Care and Treatment will provide crucial strategic leadership to enhance the quality and reach of HIV services across regions supported by the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF). This role emphasizes data-driven approaches to improve treatment initiation, adherence, and overall clinical outcomes, while offering tailored technical assistance and mentorship to various health teams.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead strategic planning and implementation of HIV care and treatment programs, aligning with national guidelines.
- Analyze the HIV treatment cascade to identify and address gaps in patient care.
- Develop targeted performance improvement strategies for underperforming areas and populations.
- Offer coaching and technical support to regional health management teams and community structures.
- Facilitate capacity-building initiatives and create resources to enhance service delivery quality.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the sustainability of HIV programs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's in Medicine, Nursing, Public Health, or a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.
- At least 8 years of experience in HIV care and treatment, ideally with large donor-funded programs.
- Strong expertise in HIV treatment management and performance improvement.
- Proven ability to lead teams and engage with diverse stakeholders.
