Job Title: Grants Officer

Location: Arusha, Manyara, Singida, Kagera, and Tabora

Primary Manager: Senior Finance and Administration Manager

Job Overview: The Grants Officer will provide essential support for contract and sub-contract management within EGPAF Tanzania. This role ensures adherence to the Foundation's award terms, along with compliance with relevant audit and administrative standards.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement compliance review plans with project coordinators, conducting semi-annual assessments for all partners.
  • Conduct annual risk assessments and advise on potential risks within the portfolio.
  • Maintain an updated register of assets and ensure all compliance issues are promptly resolved.
  • Assist grant recipients in managing agreements to meet compliance requirements.
  • Monitor financial performance and advise on cash flow risks within the portfolio.
  • Facilitate technical training sessions on grants management and compliance for recipients.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field.
  • At least three years of experience in managing US government-funded grants and contracts.
  • Strong project management skills and experience with international non-profits preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and computer skills, particularly in Word and Excel.
  • Willingness to travel within Tanzania.
