About the role
Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Project Manager to oversee project setup, execution, and evaluation within the energy sector. The successful candidate will work closely with the Business Development Team, ensuring compliance with administrative, governance, and financial procedures.
Main Responsibilities:
- Initiate project contracts and implement project plans following donor and internal approvals.
- Lead project management efforts, including planning, monitoring, financial management, and reporting to donors.
- Motivate and manage project teams, partners, and stakeholders to ensure timely and quality deliverables.
- Oversee project closure and ensure all documentation is handed over appropriately.
- Ensure technical quality of project deliverables and compliance with SNV and donor requirements.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with donors and stakeholders to enhance visibility and support business growth.
- Contribute to knowledge sharing and best practices within the organization and the wider community.
Requirements:
- A relevant master's or bachelor's degree in energy, engineering, or related fields.
- At least eight years of experience in energy sector development, particularly in renewable energy.
- Proven capability in project management, donor engagement, and resource mobilization.
- Experience in private sector engagement and understanding of energy finance mechanisms.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
