Position Overview: We are looking for a Data Risk Engineer to enhance Alpaca's Data Loss Prevention (DLP) capabilities and manage daily DLP alerts. This role involves collaborating with various departments to address data mishandling, refining rulesets, and engaging with employees on data protection practices. Reporting to the Cyber GRC Lead, you will be responsible for DLP engineering and alert operations, focusing on customer data and trading systems while addressing insider risks and data loss cases.

Main Responsibilities:

• Implement and optimize DLP across various platforms.
• Triage alerts and determine their severity.
• Educate users on data mishandling and provide corrective guidance.
• Enhance data classification and align DLP controls accordingly.
• Collaborate with multiple teams on data mishandling issues.
• Support audits and regulatory compliance related to DLP.

Requirements:

• 3+ years in DLP or data protection roles.
• Experience with DLP implementation in SaaS and endpoint environments.
• Familiarity with data classification and privacy regulations.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
