Position Overview: Curri is seeking a Director of Data to lead our data initiatives and machine learning strategies. This role is pivotal in enhancing our logistics network through intelligent data use and AI advancements. You will manage the complete data lifecycle, collaborating with product and engineering teams to implement features that improve our services.
Main Responsibilities:
- Roadmap & Impact: Develop and oversee the data and machine learning roadmap, linking it to product success and company goals.
- Machine Learning: Drive machine learning strategies for routing, optimization, and demand forecasting, ensuring models transition from prototype to production effectively.
- Analytics: Lead the analytics function, providing insights that guide key business decisions and enhance understanding of customer needs.
- Platform Management: Manage our data platform and warehouse, setting high standards for governance and data quality.
- Team Leadership: Build and mentor a skilled data and ML team, establishing best practices and fostering a culture of innovation.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years in data/ML, with at least 3 years in leadership roles at high-growth companies.
- Proven experience in deploying machine learning models and ensuring their success.
- Familiarity with modern data stacks (e.g., Snowflake) and a strong sense of building effective data foundations.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to influence product direction.
