Position Summary
We are seeking a Head of Engineering for our POS Supply Chain division, responsible for the software that manages millions of POS terminals. This role focuses on backend and distributed systems, ensuring operational data is accurate and consistent across all markets. The successful candidate will define the technical strategy and oversee a large, remote engineering team as we expand internationally.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop the technical strategy and architecture for inventory and logistics management systems.
- Lead a team of about 25 engineers, including management and specialized roles.
- Enhance visibility and reliability of operational data across numerous devices.
- Align operational practices with software solutions, ensuring effective architecture standards and quality metrics.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to transform operational needs into technical solutions.
- Recruit, mentor, and grow the engineering team to over 30 members.
Qualifications
- 10-15 years in software engineering, with 5 years in leadership roles.
- Extensive experience in Java development.
- Background in supply chain or logistics software at scale.
- Experience in fintech or regulated industries.
- Strong backend engineering capabilities and system design experience.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders.
