Role Overview
The Product Auditor is responsible for providing independent assessments of product controls within payment systems, wallets, settlements, and related products. This role ensures that new and existing offerings are equipped with appropriate financial, operational, security, and regulatory controls to mitigate risks and prevent revenue loss.
Main Responsibilities
- Maintain a dynamic Product Audit Universe and manage the annual Product Audit Plan based on risk assessments.
- Review product design documents and workflows to identify potential risks and ensure compliance before product launches.
- Conduct ongoing assessments of active payment products and analyze transaction data for risk patterns.
- Execute pre-production audits as a control gate for significant releases and ensure all necessary checks are in place.
- Validate transaction logic and integrity through SQL queries, ensuring accuracy in fee calculations and settlements.
- Engage with product teams to provide advisory on control measures during the design phase.
- Lead reviews of product failures and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Prepare detailed audit reports for management, highlighting risks and required actions.
Requirements
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and have 3-5+ years of experience in Product Audit or related areas, preferably in a fintech setting. Proficiency in SQL and knowledge of payment systems are essential. Relevant certifications like CISA or CIA are preferred.
