Security Risk Management Specialist

Role Overview: Canonical is seeking a dedicated professional for the Security Risk Management team to enhance security risk assessments and modeling by integrating industry best practices with innovative approaches. This role involves owning the strategy for identifying, tracking, and mitigating security risks across the organization.

Main Responsibilities:

• Establish and implement Canonical's security risk management standards and playbooks.
• Analyze and enhance existing security risk practices.
• Evaluate and integrate new security tools and requirements.
• Promote thought leadership within the security risk management domain.
• Collaborate with the Learning and Development team to create security training materials.
• Lead comprehensive risk assessments and facilitate decision-making processes.
• Interpret cybersecurity risk analyses in business terms and recommend actions.
• Monitor and improve risk management processes.
• Launch security assessment campaigns across the company.

Requirements:

• A strong academic background, preferably in Computer Science or a related field.
• Proven leadership and management skills.
• Exceptional communication abilities in English.
• Deep technical expertise in security assessments and risk management.
• Experience with threat modeling and risk management frameworks.
• Familiarity with Secure Development Lifecycle and Security by Design principles.
