In this role, Senior+ Engineers will be responsible for:
- Leading the design and architecture of impactful open-source projects.
- Writing high-quality code in languages such as Golang, Rust, Python, C/C++, or TypeScript/React.
- Collaborating with a diverse, remote team.
- Mentoring fellow engineers and providing career guidance.
- Exhibiting technical leadership within Canonical and the wider community.
- Debugging and resolving issues while maintaining documentation standards.
Ideal candidates will possess:
- A strong academic background in Computer Science or a related STEM field.
- Demonstrated technical leadership and a proactive approach.
- Expertise in at least one programming language from our preferred list.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to travel for company events twice a year.
