Role Overview: As a Detection & Response Engineer, you will have complete ownership of your detections, from creation to tuning, with a global team structure that ensures no one is paged during inconvenient hours. Your primary responsibilities will include defining the necessary telemetry, building and refining detection mechanisms across various platforms, and actively participating in incident response.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and tune detection mechanisms for endpoints, identities, and cloud environments.
- Manage incident response processes, including triage, containment, and remediation.
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams to establish telemetry requirements before system launches.
- Engage in proactive threat hunting and convert findings into new detection strategies.
Requirements:
- 5-8 years of experience in detection engineering, incident response, or threat hunting.
- Proficiency in a programming language (e.g., Python, Go) and experience with a SIEM solution.
- Hands-on incident response experience, preferably leading security incidents.
