Position Overview: We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our market data team. In this role, you will enhance and scale the systems that support Alpaca's operations, enabling millions to trade assets worth billions. Responsibilities include improving the public API structure for market data products, planning and deploying new services, and addressing technical challenges as we expand rapidly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design scalable market data services.
- Ensure high software quality and coverage.
- Participate in code reviews and troubleshoot incidents.
Qualifications:
- BSc/MSc in Computer Science or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years in backend software development.
- Experience with Docker or Kubernetes and an Agile mindset.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with large datasets and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
- Familiarity with SQL, IP networking, and microservices.
