Overview: The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Manager plays a crucial role in leading the design and enhancement of monitoring and evaluation systems for the AFGHS HIV and TB program. This position is responsible for ensuring high-quality data is readily available to assess program performance and inform decision-making, while also promoting accountability and effectiveness.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement M&E strategies, frameworks, and performance plans.
- Oversee the creation and tracking of program indicators and targets.
- Establish systems for routine monitoring and early identification of performance issues.
- Enhance data management processes for accuracy and reliability.
- Conduct thorough data analysis and create visualization tools to support decision-making.
- Provide technical support and capacity building for M&E staff and stakeholders.
- Lead reporting and coordination efforts for program performance updates.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in a relevant field; Bachelor’s degree acceptable.
- 8+ years of experience in monitoring and evaluation or health information management.
- Experience with national health programs and government reporting systems.
- Proficiency in designing M&E frameworks and conducting evaluations.
- Experience with donor reporting, especially in PEPFAR or similar programs.
