Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Occupational Health Nurse to provide essential Occupational Health and Primary Health care services, manage medical emergencies, and oversee Injury on Duty (IOD) protocols. The role involves conducting medical surveillance examinations, documenting findings, and ensuring compliance with legal standards for on-site clinics.
Main Responsibilities:
- Administer medical surveillance examinations and accurately interpret and record findings.
- Refer findings to the Occupational Health Medical Practitioner as necessary.
- Maintain effective document management systems.
- Conduct health risk assessments to identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
- Ensure compliance with relevant health regulations and standards.
Requirements:
- Registered Professional Nurse with a qualification in Occupational Health preferred.
- Current registration with SANC, SASOHN, and DoH.
- Certificates in dispensing, audiometry, and spirometry are advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Strong customer service orientation with a commitment to excellence and teamwork.
- Exemplary ethical standards and communication abilities.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in an Occupational Health setting, with exposure to Primary Health Care and Emergency Care practices.
