Position Overview:
The Technical Advisor for Maternal, Neonatal, and Child Health (MNCH) is responsible for providing leadership and support in integrating MNCH services with HIV, tuberculosis (TB), and early childhood development programs across various countries. This role enhances the quality and sustainability of MNCH services by offering direct assistance to health ministries and programs in sub-Saharan Africa, aligning with EGPAF's strategic goals through 2028.
Main Responsibilities:
- Direct EGPAF's strategy on integrated MNCH programming.
- Provide technical expertise on evidence-based MNCH services.
- Guide the integration of PMTCT/eMTCT and pediatric HIV care within MNCH platforms.
- Contribute to monitoring and evaluation frameworks for MNCH initiatives.
- Support capacity building and mentorship for technical staff at the country level.
Requirements:
- Advanced degree (MD, MPH, or equivalent) in a related field.
- 7-10 years of experience in MNCH programming in sub-Saharan Africa.
- Experience with U.S. government and foundation-funded programs.
- Strong technical writing and data analysis skills.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in French or Portuguese is a plus.
