About the role
Join Our Expanding People Team! We are seeking a Senior People Partner to lead the people agenda for our Product organization and various global functions that are crucial to M-KOPA's operations. Your leadership will play a vital role in shaping the way we attract, develop, and retain engineering talent, as we continue to grow and serve over 10 million customers across five African markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a trusted advisor to product, design, and digital lending leaders, aligning the people strategy with product delivery.
- Support organizational design and transformation initiatives, contributing to workforce planning and structural changes.
- Develop management capabilities, enhancing performance conversations, hiring, and development standards.
- Implement strategies to attract and retain top talent in a competitive market.
- Leverage people analytics to drive actionable insights and manage employee relations across diverse jurisdictions.
- Promote M-KOPA's values in all aspects of performance, development, and feedback mechanisms.
What We Are Looking For:
- Proven HR business partner experience with senior leaders in a scaling technology or fintech environment.
- Understanding of product, design, and marketing team dynamics.
- Adeptness at engaging with various teams, from creative to operational.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to execute day-to-day operations effectively.
- Experience in supporting cross-cultural teams across multiple regions.
- Strong analytical skills to advise leadership on decisions.
