Role Overview
We are seeking a leader to take full ownership of our collections strategy and performance, ensuring accountability for cash collection, arrears, and recovery metrics. This role will involve designing a multi-faceted collections strategy and fostering cross-functional collaboration to enhance collections outcomes.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize cash collections and recovery processes.
- Design and implement a comprehensive collections strategy.
- Utilize data for informed decision-making in partnership with Risk and Data Science teams.
- Develop strong leadership within the Collections team and create a culture of accountability.
- Influence cross-departmental collaboration to enhance collection processes.
- Focus on improving customer experience while achieving collections goals.
Requirements
Candidates should hold a degree in a relevant field and possess at least 8 years of experience in collections, particularly in lending or fintech environments. Demonstrated leadership and a track record of improving collections performance in data-rich settings are essential. Willingness to spend at least one week monthly in Nigeria is required.
