About the role

Canonical, a leader in open-source software and operating systems, is seeking an IHV Alliance Sales Director to join its strategic partnerships team. This remote role can be based in AMER, EMEA, or APAC regions. The Director will report to the Head of IHV Alliances and will be instrumental in managing IHV alliances globally. Key responsibilities include cultivating relationships with senior executives at strategic partner organizations, leading a team of Business Development Managers, and driving revenue growth through new business opportunities.

In this role, you will:

  • Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with IHVs.
  • Enhance awareness of Canonical's open-source capabilities.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage business terms.
  • Lead partnership initiatives with major companies across APAC, EMEA, and the Americas.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, sales engineering, and product management teams.
  • Travel regularly to strengthen partnerships and engage with clients directly.

Ideal candidates will have experience in alliance or indirect sales management, a proactive approach, and a strong understanding of the Linux and cloud ecosystem. Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in fast-paced environments are essential.
