About the role
We are seeking Telecom Account Executives with a strong interest in the Middle East, DACH region, Nordics, Eastern Europe, and the USA. Fluency in local languages is a plus. Canonical is a leader in open source software, challenging traditional enterprise vendors. Our flagship product, Ubuntu, is a preferred platform for public cloud computing and is widely used by software engineers and data scientists. Our mission is to enhance the global adoption of open source and offer a broad range of enterprise solutions, including software-defined storage and private cloud services.
As part of our sales team, you will be responsible for:
- Representing Canonical and our solutions in your designated territory.
- Developing and executing a territory plan for outreach and prospecting.
- Generating new business opportunities through various channels.
- Meeting and exceeding sales targets by closing contracts.
- Managing customer relationships throughout the sales cycle.
Ideal candidates will have:
- A Bachelor's degree, preferably in engineering or computer science.
- Experience in open source technologies and enterprise software sales.
- A proven track record of achieving sales targets.
- Strong communication skills in English and relevant local languages.
- The ability to travel for client meetings and events.
